Doubts Ruby could get Fair Trial -- Stanley Marcus, president of Neiman-Marcus store in Dallas, ponders a question asked him after he testified at the change of venue hearing for Jack Ruby today. Marcus testified he doubts that Ruby, charged with the slaying of the accused assassin of President Kennedy, could get a fair trial in Dallas. Marcus was the first witness in the second day of the hearing.


Stanley Marcus, Dallas Civic leader and president of the famed Neiman Marcus store, testified 2/11 that he had "grave reservations" whether Jack Ruby could get a fair trial for murder in Dallas. Marcus was lead-off witness at the second day of the change of venue hearing on a defense demand that Ruby be tried in another Texas city for slaying Lee Harvey Oswald, the accused presidential assassin.


Sen. Richard Schwelker.R-Pa-,, said In a news conference 9/8, he is asking the Senate the reinvestigate the 1963 assignation of president John P. Kennedy because Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby may have had CIA and FBI connections. Here Schwelker holds a photo taken by the CI outside the Russian Embassy In Mexico City in Sept. 1963. The CIA Identified tye person as Lee Harvey Oswald and later said it was not him. Schwelker raised the possibility that it may have been someone with Oswald's Identification.

Foreman Resigns From Ruby Case -- Houston attorney Percy Foreman is shown in Dallas today as he read from a letter resigning as chief defense attorney for Jack Ruby. Foreman sent the original copy to Ruby in his Dallas County Jail cell. He withdrew from the case because of disagreements with members of Ruby's family.
